چکیده

The south of Western Siberia traditionally belongs to the regions with unfavorable epidemiological situation for tick-transmitted infections. In Novosibirsk and its suburbs, approximately 20 thousand people annually seek medical care after tick bites. purpose this work was determine human-attacking species composition in territory suburbs by identifying nucleotide sequence mitochondrial gene cytochrome oxidase COI fragment during 2018 spring-summer season, determination infections individual ticks viral bacterial tick-borne infections, followed genotyping identified pathogens PCR methods, determining sequences phylogenetic analysis. It is established that five attack humans: Ixodes persulcatus, pavlovskyi, Dermacentor reticulatus, marginatus, nuttali metropolis. majority attacks on humans are associated I. pavlovskyi (43.6%) D. reticulatus (41.2%) ticks. genetic material encephalitis virus detected 3.6%, borrelia 13.8% Rickettsia 23.1% collected from humans. Genotyping (TBEV) showed presence TBEV Siberian Far Eastern genotype 83% 17% cases, respectively. Kemerovo could not be detected. Genetic Borrelia spp. has been all attacking local human population. bulk isolates were genotyped as garinii (86%) 13% afzelii species. miyamotoi found one tick. Ticks genus have infected raoultii, largely tarasevichiae, persulcatus helvetica a single case. Thus, population attacked ixodid dominated following found: genotype, B. garinii, afzelii, miyamotoi, R. raoulti, tarasevichiae

Tick vaccines and the control of tick-borne pathogens

Ticks are obligate hematophagous ectoparasites that transmit a wide variety of pathogens to humans and animals. The incidence of tick-borne diseases has increased worldwide in both humans and domestic animals over the past years resulting in greater interest in the study of tick-host-pathogen interactions. Advances in vector and pathogen genomics and proteomics have moved forward our knowledge ...

Tick-borne Pathogens in Northwestern California, USA

To the Editor: In northwestern California, USA, the western black-legged tick, Ixodes pacificus, is a known vector of Borrelia burgdor-feri, the spirochete that causes Lyme disease. B. miyamotoi, which is more closely related to spirochetes that cause relapsing fever, has also been detected in 2 locations in California (1,2) and has recently been implicated as a human pathogen in the northeaste...

Tick-Borne Encephalitis with Hemorrhagic Syndrome, Novosibirsk Region, Russia, 1999

Eight fatal cases of tick-borne encephalitis with an unusual hemorrhagic syndrome were identified in 1999 in the Novosibirsk Region, Russia. To study these strains, we sequenced cDNA fragments of protein E gene from six archival formalin-fixed brain samples. Phylogenetic analysis showed tick-borne encephalitis variants clustered with a Far Eastern subtype (homology 94.7%) but not with the Siber...

Prevalence of tick borne pathogens in horses from Italy.

In order to investigate the prevalence of tick-borne diseases, equine piroplasmosis, equine granulocytic anaplasmosis and Lyme borreliosis in Central Italy, blood samples from 300 horses were analyzed for the presence of antibodies against Babesia caballi, Theileria equi, Anaplasma phagocytophilum and Borrelia burgdorferi using the IFAT. The blood samples were also subjected to PCR assays in or...
